to read books by all kinds of people until the end of my days
to travel to different places in the hopes of understanding people different from myself
to go scuba diving
to better express myself through creative means
to be a source of calm and warmth for my loved ones
to make friends that are simply good people
to right my wrongs
to shed my ego
to stand up for people whose rights have been stolen
to stick to my faith, always
What I don’t want
is to take over the Western world
is to hurt you or you, or even you
is to force my beliefs on you
is to be rude
is to act on anger
is to lose my patience
is to let you dictate my intentions
Hatred will never win in the end.
Injustice will cease to exist one day.
People of differences in their clay and in their walks will stand side by side.
You and your abhorrence of nothing will cease to matter.
Your flame ridden iron rod is better suited for your lumps of coal.
There may still be hope in you yet.
You’ll have children of your own; maybe you already do.
You’ll protect them from the distaste that you so exude.
But will you protect them from becoming what you are?
Will you promote the burning of the innocent?
Maybe you’ll learn one day.
Let your hatred for something be rooted in reality and in fairness.
But don’t let it drive you.
